Keven Bader - Chief Executive

Keven Bader Keven joined the Institute in November 2008 as its first Chief Executive. Keven has a remit to transform the Institute into one which focuses on the representation of the interests of the Institute's members to the UK Government, other national Governments, the European Commission (and its Agencies) and international organisations. Keven has overall responsibility for the day to day operations of the Institute and will oversee the transfer of the Institute's regulatory functions (as an Approved Regulator of the Trade Mark Attorney profession) to the Intellectual Property Regulation Board.


Margaret Tyler, MBE - Registrar and Company Secretary

Margaret Tyler Margaret has been with the Institute for over 20 years.  She maintains the Register of Trade Mark Attorneys and ensures that the Institute complies with the statutory requirements of the UK Intellectual Property Office.  She oversees all ITMA Committees but is particularly responsible for the General Purposes & Finance, Programme and Professional Guidance & Disciplinary Committees and the Litigators Accreditation Board.  Margaret is also responsible for the running of the Institute Secretariat, which provides services to the members and information to members of the public.


Jane Attreed - Deputy Secretary

Jane AttreedJane is the Committee Secretary for the Council of the Institute as well as the Joint Executives, Public Relations, Trade Mark Administrators' Course and Membership Committees.  She also attends Programme Committee meetings as she plays an integral part in organising and administering the Institute's large calendar of events.  She can be seen behind the registration desk at the Institute's monthly Evening Meetings and is present at the majority of the other social and educational events. 

Jane manages and maintains the Institute's website, working closey with ITMA's website and IT consultants. 

Jane also deputises for the Company Secretary in her absence.


Gillian Rogers - Committee Secretary

Gillian began working for ITMA in March 2000 and is Secretary to five Commmittees: Education & Training, Continuing Professional Development, Designs, ITMA Review and Laws & Practice.  She has set up and organises the Residential Revision Courses which are held at the Aston Business School in Birmingham and administers the Institute's trade mark clinics.

Gillian shares responsibility with Jane Attreed for the Institute's website and is responsible for placing job vacancies in the Appointments & Notices bulletin. 


Val Rice - Secretarial Assistant

Val RiceVal has been with the Institute since 1988 and is the main point of contact for both members of the public and ITMA Members.  Val answers the majority of the incoming phone calls and deals with general office matters.

Val assists the Secretary of the Institute in her day to day work and also helps administer all ITMA events and procedures, working closely with the Institute’s Accounts Department, together with ITMA’s conference organisers and the numerous contacts outside the ITMA office.

Joy Dublin – Accounts Manager

Joy DublinJoy recently joined the Institute, having taken over from Angela Williams who retired after 16 years. She is a qualified Accounting Technician and has worked with various not-for-profit organisations for the past 10 years. Her previous experience in similar situations will certainly be an asset in managing the day-to-day finances of ITMA and ensuring that the management board receives relevant financial information for decision making.

Joy’s role also includes responsibility for expanding the current accounting function in line with the Institute’s strategic plan.


Geraldine Flood - Accounts Assistant

Geraldine’s role is to support Joy Dublin in managing the Institute’s finances. She is mainly involved with invoicing for events, services, and the educational courses provided by the Institute.  Geraldine’s tasks also include the processing and banking of incoming cheques and reconciliation of the sales ledger on a monthly basis.  Geraldine also assists with the registration and membership subscriptions and the invoices rendered.  Geraldine has been with the Institute since 2004.


Ken Storey - Public Relations Manager

Ken Storey Ken joined the Institute in 1997 with the aims of increasing awareness of trade marks, particularly in the business community and promoting the use of professional trade mark attorneys.  He works with the media to ensure the voice of ITMA is heard and with partner organisations to promote trade marks and designs. He is also involved in promoting the UK profession overseas. 

Prior to joining ITMA, Ken worked for the Government Information Service responsible for the Royal Household and the Prime Minister’s media arrangements in London and the South East.  His experience includes working with senior Cabinet Ministers, in particular Michael Heseltine at both the DTI and when he was Deputy Prime Minister.
