Register of Trade Mark Attorneys
Having recently qualified as a Trade Mark Attorney, the following steps should be taken in order to i) be entered onto the Register of Trade Mark Attorneys and ii) become an Ordinary Member of ITMA.
1. Complete the Register application form, available on the IPReg website.
2. Complete the Statutory Declaration, available on the IPReg website.
3. Obtain copies of all official supporting papers confirming your passes/exemptions.
4. If you are already an ITMA Member, or wish to be an ITMA Member, complete the Ordinary membership application form, available on the ITMA website.
5. Send all the above, together with the appropriate remittance for your entry on the Register (costs outlined here) to the ITMA Office.
Once in receipt of your papers, the Registrar will process your Register application and confirm to you that you have been entered onto the Register of Trade Mark Attorneys. If seen fit, you will then be elected an Ordinary Member of ITMA by the ITMA Council. The ITMA office will write to confirm your election, enclosing an invoice for your Membership fee for the year. Once paid, you will receive your new Certificate of Membership.
If you have any queries on the above process, please do not hesitate to contact Lauren Boosey, Membership Administrator at the ITMA office – lauren@itma.org.uk
