Trade Mark Advice Easier with Upgraded Website
10 March, 2008
People seeking advice on trade marks will find their task easier with the new upgraded website of the Institute of Trade Mark Attorneys (ITMA).
Following a radical overhaul of the website, it is now far easier to find a qualified trade mark attorney anywhere in the UK as well as finding plenty of general information about trade marks and designs.
Launching the updated website, ITMA President Philip Harris said:
“Like many companies and organizations, we found that our original website was a victim of its own success.”
“With the help of Aardvark Media Limited, we set about revising and improving the website. The search engine has been enhanced so that it is now even easier for the public, and small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs) in particular, to find our Members – all of whom are Registered Trade Mark Attorneys - near to where they are based. The new features include a postal address search as well as the usual county and name searches. Only with this service can people be certain of finding an ITMA regulated attorney who can expertly advise them on protecting their trade marks, not only in the UK but, through their network of contacts, anywhere in the world.”
“Increasingly our members are being asked for advice on design issues and we have addressed this in the new website by introducing a separate section dedicated to this subject. As sponsors of the Design Week Awards, we feel it is vitally important that the design community, as well as the general public, is aware that, just like trade marks, designs are valuable assets that should be protected by registration wherever possible. We hope our new website will help them to achieve that.”
