Members: Launch of new IPO website - your views?

You may have noticed that the Intellectual Property Office (IPO), formally known as the UK-IPO has launched a new look website. www.ipo.gov.uk

The website includes new features such as a dedicated area for IP professionals and is aimed at making the customer journey better for users. The Institute is keen to provide constructive feedback on the new look website and in order to do so, I would like to invite you to provide any comments/thoughts you may have by emailing tm@itma.org.uk

I will be meeting with senior management at the Trade Marks Registry in the near future and I would like to be able to report back the views of you, the members, as part of our aim to improve communication and improve our relationship with the Registry.

I would be happy to receive any comments, but some questions for your consideration are set out below:

• Were you aware the IPO website was going to change?
• How have you found navigating the new website?
• Are there any particular problems you have come across whilst navigating the website?
• Is any information on the website miss-leading or in error?
• Do you feel the new website provides enough information about the benefits of seeking professional advice on Trade Mark and Design matters?

It is possible to provide feedback direct to the IPO, however, I would like to provide a view from the Institute as a whole and would request that you direct your email responses to tm@itma.org.uk   I would like to thank you in advance for taking the time to submit your feedback and I will of course keep you informed of any developments, following discussions with the IPO.
