More free advice clinics on trade marks

From 3 November the Institute of Trade Mark Attorneys is offering more free advice clinics on trade marks to members of the public.

Trade Mark Attorneys finally get Litigators' Rights

April 1st 2005 marked the enactment of the Trade Mark Attorneys Order 2005 (SI 2005 No. 204). This gives the Institute of Trade Mark Attorneys the right to appoint litigators under the Courts and Legal Services Act 1990. This enables suitably qualified members of the Institute of Trade Mark Attorneys (ITMA) to conduct litigation in the Chancery Division of the High Court and the County Court (including the Patents County Court) in relation to trade mark, design and passing off cases.

Trade Mark Advice Clinics Prove a Hit

The first free advice trade mark clinic run by the Institute of Trade Mark Attorneys has proved a big hit with the public.
The clinics will be held at Harmsworth House, 13-15 Bouverie Street, London EC4 on the first Thursday of each month between 5.00 pm and 6.30 pm. Each free session will last up to half an hour.
